... Despite the limited success of their singles,an album,"Around Grapefruit"
was issued late,contained all of their singles,plus some exceptionally strong album cuts that where somewhat marred by unsympathetic orchestral overdubs. Thankfully,several acetates featuring alternate,nonorchestrated versions of LULLABY and ANOTHER GAME have survived. Of those two tracks,the recently discovered LULLABY is of special interest. This version was produced by Paul McCartney (with some input from John Lennon who also attended the session) at Advision Studios in early 1968... |
